| Primary fire: | Create winch |
| Secondary fire: | None |
| Notes: | Creates a rope whose length can be changed with the numpad |
Brief
A rope whose length can be increased/decreased using the numpad
Instructions
- Set the numpad keys for increasing/decreasing (it's useless otherwise)
- Fire at a prop or ragdoll
- Fire at another prop, ragdoll, or point on the map
- A rope is created between the two points
Variables
- Increase/Decrease Length
- Select the keys that you want to use to operate the winch.
- Increase Speed
- Set this to control the speed at which the winch will grow longer.
- Decrease Speed
- Set this to control the speed at which the winch will grow shorter.
- Rope Width
- Set how wide the winch will appear. Set to 0 to make it invisible.
Useful hints
- You can make medieval-style drop drawbridges by using two winches and two ball sockets.
- Place a large flat prop upright in a doorway
- Attach the two bottom corners of the prop to the ground using ball sockets
- Attach the two top corners of the prop to the doorway using winches
- Increase the winch length to lower the drawbridge!

- In conjunction with the slider, it can be used to make multi-floor lifts (Not possible with hydraulics).
- Reversing the numpad keys and putting a winch on the opposite side of a prop can make a two-way winch, which allows greater stability and control
