GetRigth

If you look at the Derma Controls page DHorizontalDivider section, the function is DHorizontalDivider.GetRight so I figured that it was misspelled on the DHorizontalDivider page. I suppose that the Derma Controls page has it spelled wrong then?

CowThing 22:15, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Go into Gmod, open the console and type "lua_find GetRigth". --Unrealomega 22:20, 16 September 2009 (UTC)
I see now that GetRigth is a function, however "GetRigth" was misspelled "GetRight" on the Derma Controls page. Which is why I changed the other instance of it to "GetRight" because I got confused. I have now changed it on the Derma Controls page. --CowThing 23:41, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Beginning Garry's Mod

The Beginning_Garry's_Mod#Tortoise_SVN_client_2 guide on how to use tortoise to download PHX had a incorrect step in it. I fixed the error. Just a heads up in case you want to go back and change any wording. --Sodaplayer

Thanks

Thanks for moving my page to the right place. Sodaplayer Tell me where I screwed up 09:29, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Would you mind?

Would you mind linking both of these to the main page with a CatUp|Main Page ? They're the only main categories not linking back to it. (And are locked from editing)

Blocking for editing user pages?

I see you blocked User:Crazy_Quebecer for editing a user page, but I already gave him a warning before that. Was it really necessary to block him? I mean, I think it was his first, I'd think that blocking is a bit harsh. --Dlaor 15:35, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Usually, it's best to block, even if it was an honest mistake. I only gave him a 2 hour block. It doesn't affect you from reading the wiki, just editing. --Unrealomega 15:36, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
I was used to Wikipedia's approach, first giving warnings and then blocking :P But next time I'll just block them. --Dlaor 15:39, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
I've made it 30 minutes. The reason for a block instead of warning, is I have a zero tolerance rule to editing other's users pages. Though, his was an honest mistake, I'd rather not go soft on him.
You can choose to warn people, if it's an honest mistake. User pages are for those users, not for others to edit. --Unrealomega 15:41, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
I'll keep that in my head next time something like this happens. :D --Dlaor 15:51, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for your understanding, I'll watch myself for lack of common sense in the future. :) --Crazy Quebecer 16:12, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

String functions

Hey, you you mind updating our version of the Parser Functions extension so that we can use String functions (Now included in it) ?
This would give us access to a ton of useful parsing functions and make our templates that much powerful.
For instance you could consider adding something like this to the lua function template :

{{CatUp|
{{#explode:{{PAGENAME}}|.|1}}
}}

but probably fancier of course. The point is it would allow effective linking of articles without having to go trough every single function page to modify the template.

Garry is on vacation. I can't update, as I have no access to that. --Unrealomega 04:09, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Alright no sweat, I was afraid it would come to that. It's nothing urgent anyway. --Crazy Quebecer 04:15, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Sidebar is at the bottom of the screen

In Chrome, the sidebar on the left is always pushed under the main content.

I've just tried browsing the wiki in chrome and found no problem. It looks just like it does in firefox for me. It usually only looks like this when a page has template errors in it. --Crazy Quebecer 21:58, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Great ;)

Thanks for helping :)

Cannot send confirmation emails

I created my account just now and got this:

GMod Wiki could not send your confirmation mail. Please check your e-mail address for invalid characters.
Mailer returned: It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. Please use the date.timezone setting, the TZ environment
variable or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning,
you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Europe/London' for '1.0/DST' instead.

I'm posting this in your talk page since I don't know who to contact about it. If you can't fix it, please forward it to someone who can. Immibis 03:43, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Can't help ya, bro. That's something Garry would have to fix. --Unrealomega 05:22, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Bot

Hello there, as you've maybe seen, I have added a few new icons, and I will keep on adding them. I remember your bot did the task of replacing all links with the Arg template. Could we discuss this over steam? You can add me at "dannneman" --Donkie 12:50, 2 February 2011 (GMT)

Maybe, I'd have to actually set it up again. --Unrealomega 12:52, 2 February 2011 (GMT)
